Washington, D.C. – Rep. Justin Amash’s (R-MI) Facebook Page gained its 20,000th follower this morning, making it one of the most popular Pages produced by a congressional freshman.
The Page’s popularity is driven by Amash’s consistent vote explanations. He has posted explanations for every single vote he has taken since coming to office in January 2011—more than 1,000 votes so far.
“I am thrilled that more and more of my constituents and people nationwide follow what’s happening in Congress through my Facebook Page,” said Amash. “Facebook facilitates lively, real-time conversations with the people I serve.
