Amash Issues Statement on Constitution Day

Washington, D.C. – Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) issued the following statement on Constitution Day:

“On Constitution Day, we celebrate the moment our country’s Founders signed the Constitution. After 224 years, that document continues to be an extraordinary limit on government and a proclamation of the fundamental freedoms we enjoy as Americans.

“As a Member of Congress, I swear an oath to support and defend the Constitution. I take that oath very seriously. I will continue to use my office to fight unconstitutional legislation and to fulfill the Constitution’s promise of limited government and individual liberty.”
